Would this shoe be decent for both running and HIIT workouts? I’m looking for a trainer that I can use for both. I overpronate but am open to a neutral shoe as well since my podiatrist is anti-stability shoes. I really like the look of this though.

I can’t believe there are not more reviews on the inspire 16 I have been a Brooks fan boy but man oh man I am blown away at the Comfort, pick these up this week and will get every updated version along side my Brooks.

Trent Mankelow

Thanks. I've bought the 15 from you, but will upgrade to the 16 f'sure when the time comes :-)

Excellent review thanks... would like to know what sort of runner this shoe is ideal for... (i.e.fast runner or beginner etc)

I love my Mizunos! I have the Wave Sky Wave Knit, but I have been thinking about the Inspire. I’m thinking that I could use a little more support, thus the Inspire. My only concern is that the Mizunos tend to run a tad on the narrow side without being considered a ‘narrow’ shoe. I have done several 1/2 marathons in my Wave Sky’s and am very pleased with them.

Thanks for the review. But a bit of constructive criticism: It would help a lot if you weren't waving the shoes about - so we can actually see the changes and features you're talking about.

Michelle Reeves

Thank you for the review. I have been in Mizuno Wave Inspire for a number of years, and really clearly explained the difference in the newest model. I'm off to buy a pair now!

The damping in the forefoot on these became worse from 13 to 14 to 15. I would image the rubber is even softer now in the Inspire 16. It's a joke that Mizuno is not producing the Paradox 5 in 2E anymore. The Paradox 2,3 and 4 were perfect.
The Inspire 15 finally got me to switch back to new Balance 860 and 880 after using average of 6 pair Mizunos per years. My advice is to stay away from these Mizunos , if you are over 75kg.

Amanda Walker

Thanks.. great in depth description.. have just started working in a speciality running centre. So very helpful information. Thx

I don’t like their meshyseamless tie box and it’s too wide.

You should review your audio before you release on YouTube. I can hardy hear you even with headphones on.

Jennifer Rankin

Probably my favorite shoe thus far!

I wanted to love this shoe and I initially did when I first got it but after running in it for a bit my heel slipped way too much. Not sure if I have to try a size down or not? The toe room seemed fine but there was just too much heel room for a comfy workout. :(
