Dan John has spent his life with one foot in the world of lifting and throwing, and the other foot in academia. An All-American discus thrower, Dan has also competed at the highest levels of Olympic lifting, Highland Games and the Weight Pentathlon, an event in which he holds the American record.
Dan spends his work life blending weekly workshops and lectures with full-time writing, and is also an online religious studies instructor for Columbia College of Missouri. As a Fulbright Scholar, he toured the Middle East exploring the foundations of religious education systems. Dan is also a Senior Lecturer for St Mary’s University, Twickenham, London.
His books, on weightlifting, include Intervention, Never Let Go, Mass Made Simple and Easy Strength, written with Pavel Tsatsouline as well as From Dad, To Grad. He and Josh Hillis co-authored “Fat Loss Happens on Monday.”
In 2015, Dan wrote Can You Go? on his approach to assessments and basic training. In addition, Before We Go, another compilation akin to Never Let Go became an Amazon Bestseller.
In early 2017, Dan’s book, Now What?, his approach to Performance and dealing with “life,” became a Bestseller on Amazon. Hardstyle Kettlebell Challenge became available in September 2017, too.

So this video shows my typical weekday morning routine. I've definitely been trying to get some type of exercise when I start my day because my mom says it puts me in a better mood/mental state (she's right, shhh). Having a schedule and checklist of things to do just makes me feel better because I always know what to expect and honestly I just feel more accomplished when I know I've finished things on the list!

FAVOURITE EXERCISE SERIES,
FAVOURITE EXERCISE SERIES, My Favourite Chest Movement. The most common chest exercise that almost everyone knows about is the bench press. And although I love this movement, I wouldn't say that it is the most effective exercise to build the pecs...for me at least. I think that this will be different from person to person. For me, I've found the dumbbell press to be the most effective chest exercise because of the extra range of motion that the dumbbells allow in the squeezing portion of the exercise. So, in short, the barbell bench press is my favourite exercise to perform, but for results the DUMBBELL bench press is my favourite.

Great topic and video brother. I agree dumbbells especially incline dumbbells give my chest the most aesthetic and "full" appearance. Imo, incline should always be done first and honestly flat isn't even necessary, more of an afterthought if you already have decent lower pecs.
